What is Mind and Be Active?
Mind and Be Active is a physical activity programme co-ordinated and delivered by Fife Sports and Leisure Trust (FSLT). The programme provides personalised physical activity support for people experiencing a mental health condition.
Who is Mind and Be Active for?
Mind and Be Active supports people over the age of 16 with mild to moderate anxiety, depression, stress or low mood. It is suitable for all, no matter of fitness level or previous experience of physical activity - our Health & Wellbeing Advisor (H&WB Advisor) will tailor a plan to suit you.
How can I access Mind and Be Active?
Your health and social care professional will be able to decide whether or not Mind and Be Active is suitable for you. If your health and social care professional thinks it is suitable, they will complete a referral form on your behalf and send to FSLT. The Mind and Be Active team will then contact you to invite you to your local leisure centre for a consultation.
What does Mind and Be Active offer me?
Individual physical activity programme, One-to-one support from our Health and Wellbeing Advisor for up to 12 weeks, 30% discount on all activities for 12 months.

Improves fitness levels, help gain confidence, social interaction opportunities, improve mood, distract from negative thoughts, increase energy levels, training and nutrition advice
Who delivers the programme?
Participants will meet the FSLT Health and Wellbeing Advisor from the Health and Physical Activity Team for an initial consultation. The H&WB Advisor will then work with participants for up to 12 weeks, meeting at regular intervals to offer support.
How much does it cost?
Mind and Be Active participants will receive a 30% discount on all activities they choose to do at FSLT centres for 12 months.
What happens after the programme?
At the end of the programme, participants should feel familiar with physical activity and confident to continue independently. We would hope that participants also feel the positive health and wellbeing benefits of physical activity.
