Judo is best known for it's spectacular throwing techniques but also involves grappling on the ground utilising specialized pins, control holds, arm locks.
Judo emphasises upon safety, and full physical conditioning and is learned on special mats for comfort and safety. It is unique in that it can appeal to people from all walks of life and all age groups, both sexes, and most disabled persons can participate together in learning and practicing the sport.
Judo promotes self-discipline and respect for yourself and others. Judo boosts self-confidence, concentration, leadership skills, as well as enhanced physical coordination, power and flexibility. As a sport that has evolved from a fighting art, it develops complete body control, fine balance, and fast reflexive action.
Traditional Ju-Jitsu is not a Sport, it is a Military Combat Art. Ju-Jitsu techniques include Kicking and Punching, Grappling and Throwing, all of which were used by. It originated in Japan over 2000 years ago by the Bushi, or Warrior class. It is these origins that make it so effective as a form of self defence.
The Samurai in ancient times but these techniques are in no way obsolete or out of date. Due to constant up dating and development they are as applicable and practical today as they were all those years ago.
Karate is open to anyone over the age of 6 years, training is open to new and existing students alike. You do not need to be fit to start training. You simply become fit by taking part! Karate will develop not only your fitness, but your co-ordination, speed, strength, flexibility and also increase your self-confidence and determination.
Whilst karate is predominantly striking based, you will also be trained in throwing and grappling techniques, together with chokes and locks.
Kuk Sool Won
Kuk Sool Won is a traditional Korean Martial Art which is the study of all traditional fighting techniques. Kuk Sool Won also seeks to explore all Asian fighting arts and body conditioning techniques, as well as mental development and traditional weapon training.
Suitable for both adults and Juniors (11 – 17 years).

Kupso is recognised as one of the most forward looking Martial Art bodies in the UK Kupso teaches numerous martial art and combat systems utilising pressure (Kupso) points.

Tae Kwon Do
Tae Kwon Do is the Korean art of self-defence and means "The Art of Hand and Foot Fighting". Tae Kwon Do indicates the technique of unarmed combat for self-defence, involving skilled application of punches, kicks, blocks, dodges and restraints.
Most of all Tae Kwon Do is about self-imposed discipline, fitness and inner peace. Its origins go back 3,000 years ago. This provides its practitioners with a link to a tradition and philosophy which is truly historic. The art itself however has evolved with time to reflect the needs and aspirations of the modern martial artist.
