Swimming Lessons

We are absolutely delighted to win the Scottish Water Learn to Swim Service Provider of the Year at the Scottish Swimming Awards 2023. And we are proud to be Scotland’s largest swimming lesson programme with more than 8,000 participants weekly.

Fife Sports and Leisure Trust is the only swimming lesson provider in Fife that delivers lessons following the national governing body, Scottish Swimming’s Learn to Swim pathway.

Our programme offers people of all ages, from babies to older adults, to get in the water and progress seamlessly through class levels, either building confidence, becoming a competent swimmer, progressing onto club level or learning new disciplines such as water polo.

In addition, children enrolled in our programme can enjoy free recreational swimming at any of our 9 pools in Fife.

Inclusive Swimming #SeeMyAbility

We are proud to be working in partnership with Scottish Swimming.

Swimming provides the opportunity to learn a life skill whilst interacting and having fun in a group environment. This should be no different for a child with a disability and where possible your child will be included in a class with their peers.

What should you expect from our swimming lesson programme?

All children should be having fun! They should be involved in games-based activities to help them learn skills such as breathing, submerging and moving in the water. Swimming strokes will be introduced gradually once a child has learned the core aquatic skills.

Ask your local leisure centre Aquatics Advisor about swimming lessons for your child. Click here for contact telephone numbers.
