Our gym under went a major transformation in summer (2017), with the latest and most effective fitness equipment installed by Technogym and Origin Fitness. With the creation of NEW gym zones – Cardio, Fixed Resistance, Free Weights, Functional and HIIT – we have made it easier for our customers to find the zone that best suits their fitness needs. Some of our highlights include the SkillMill, SkillRow, SPARC Trainer, Functional Training Rig and more weights added.
We also upgraded the CV in our Circuit Gym that includes Kinesis.

Our Circuit Gym at Carnegie is the perfect space for you to train and exercise with a wide variety of cardio, strength and functional equipment.
This area also includes our Kinesis Cable range that is a unique strength range of six cable stations, that allow you to move in a natural way like you do in everyday life and move from static strength work through to more dynamic movements as you gain confidence and strength.
The CV equipment was recently upgraded during the main gym summer refurbishment. Other new additions include: SPARC Trainer, Climb, Air Dyne Bike and HIITMILL X.

I have 23 international caps representing the Scottish Volleyball team.
I was a Junior Fencing Champion.
I got married at St Paul's Bay in Lindos on the island of Rhodes by a registrar on a motor bike.

I made it to the final trials for the Scotland U21 Rugby Squad just before I swapped my boots for dumbells and won the UKBFF Junior MrScotland in my second ever competition.
Booking an induction
All our inductions are one to one appointments but we also cater for couples or friends if preferred. You can book an induction by contacting reception and they will offer you time slots as required.
There is parking at the retail park to the rear of the centre which is free for 2 hours. Tesco also has free parking for 3 hours and there is a pay and display car park adjacent to the centre.
What to bring
For your induction we ask that you bring gym wear, trainers or appropriate exercise footwear, a water bottle and small towel as you will be using the gym equipment.
What time should I be there for the induction?
If you can please arrive 15 minutes before your booking slot to allow for changing and for the gym staff to complete the induction paperwork. If you are not changing can please arrive 10 minutes early.
What will happen in my induction?
A member of the gym team will meet you at reception and show you where the changing rooms and gym are. Once you are changed they will meet you in the gym. We will then complete the PAR-Q, (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) which gives us information on your current health status and also asks if you have used gyms before or if this is your first gym visit. Also what your main goals are for the induction and future gym visits. The induction will then be based around what you want to achieve and cover the main safety points and set on the gym equipment depending on your experience.
What happens after my induction?
We look to review your progress after 4 weeks with a review appointment this can be booked in with the gym team if required and you can ask the gym team about programmes or to go over any gym equipment or exercise technique if required.
Who do I ask if I have any questions or need support once I start using the gym?
The gym team are there to support your long term health and fitness goals and have extensive experience in supporting our gym customers with gym programmes and with keeping their motivation levels high. They will be happy to help and advise you on making your time in the gym as enjoyable and productive as possible.
