Working with Fife Council, we have delivered a transformed gym and studio spaces to give customers bigger, much-improved, dedicated spaces to make getting active even more enjoyable.
To celebrate the re-opening on Saturday, we will be offering free fitness class tasters, tours of the new gym and Quid-a-Kid racquet sports and special discounts on its membership scheme. And, we are set to reopen the pool next week with swimming lessons starting on Saturday, 23 March followed by an inflatable pool session with a brand new inflatable on Sunday, 24 March.
Allan Reid, area leisure manager for Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, added: “We are very pleased to be able to welcome customers back to the centre - we are confident that they will be delighted with the changes.
“Now, the new, bigger gym kitted out with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment and fitness space are open for use and staff are very much looking forward to delivering a new fitness class programme and supporting people to get the best out of their workouts.”
Cllr Judy Hamilton, Convener of Fife Council’s Community & Housing Services Committee added: “Fife Council has invested over £1.4m in this major refurbishment, which was designed and project managed in-house by the Council’s Property & Building Services. With limited alternative sports facilities in the area and quite significant health inequalities compared with other parts of Fife, delivering it is very significant locally in contributing towards our ambition of a fairer Fife.”
The works for Levenmouth have delivered significant improvements for customers thanks to a more spacious gym, with almost double the floor space of the old one, as well as a new dedicated aerobic studio space. The centre has also benefited from additional works that have upgraded toilets, reception area and decoration to corridors as well as disabled access improvements, delivering a fully compliant accessible changing room, and, refurbishment of wet and dry changing areas, including showers.
